Celebrating Community and Health at Masjid Al Abdul Razak’s 60th Anniversary
Tired? Yes. But what to do, the grind is not stopping! Amid a packed calendar of healthcare events and innovation showcases, one of the most meaningful moments for Team BUZUD this season was stepping into the heart of the community to celebrate Masjid Al Abdul Razak’s 60th Anniversary.
Instead of just marking the milestone with speeches and ceremonies, the mosque chose to weave in a strong focus on health and wellbeing – and BUZUD was honoured to play a part in this special celebration.
Marking 60 years with the gift of health
Anniversaries are often a time to look back with gratitude and look forward with hope. At Masjid Al Abdul Razak, that hope very naturally extended to the health of the congregation and surrounding community.
For BUZUD, being invited to support this celebration was deeply meaningful. It allowed us to bring our expertise in preventive care and health monitoring into a warm, familiar community setting – a place where families gather, friendships are formed and support networks are built over decades.
The underlying belief was simple yet powerful: the best gift is the gift of health.
Bringing healthcare into the heart of the community
Events like this show how healthcare does not always have to happen in hospitals or clinics. By being present on the ground at Masjid Al Abdul Razak, we were able to:
- Reach people of different ages and backgrounds in a comfortable, trusted environment
- Encourage conversations about health, lifestyle and prevention in a relaxed, approachable way
- Demonstrate how simple checks and everyday tools can support long‑term wellbeing
For many attendees, it was an opportunity to learn more about their own health status, ask questions and better understand how regular monitoring can help them and their loved ones stay well.
Beyond devices: relationships, trust and long‑term wellbeing
While BUZUD is known for its technology, what stood out most at Masjid Al Abdul Razak’s 60th Anniversary was the human connection.
We saw families coming together, elders chatting with volunteers, and community leaders taking the time to encourage everyone to look after themselves – not just spiritually, but physically and emotionally too. In this setting, health is not an abstract concept; it is woven into daily life, from caring for ageing parents to ensuring children grow up with good habits.
For Team BUZUD, it was a reminder that:
- Health is about relationships and trust, not just readings and reports
- Community spaces like mosques play a vital role in spreading awareness and support
- Partnerships between community organisations and healthcare innovators can create a powerful, positive impact
Looking forward
As Masjid Al Abdul Razak looks ahead to the next chapter beyond its 60th year, BUZUD is grateful to have been part of this milestone celebration in such a practical, meaningful way.
We remain committed to supporting community partners across Singapore with accessible tools, preventive health solutions and on‑the‑ground initiatives that help people live healthier, fuller lives.
Here’s to many more years of good health, strong community bonds and shared care – at Masjid Al Abdul Razak and beyond.
