From free health checks and pharmacist-led consultations to engaging activity booths, the event was a vibrant reminder that preventive care starts with all of us. \"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

BUZUD was proud to play an active role in this, supporting the event with our state-of-the-art medical devices and nurse volunteers \u2014 ensuring participants enjoyed accurate health checks and compassionate care throughout the day. This commitment reflects BUZUD\u2019s mission to make healthcare more accessible and community-focused.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"BUZUD was also honoured to host <\/span>Dr Amit Gupta, Chair of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) School of Diabetes<\/b>, who toured the event grounds on a walkabout and gained an up-close understanding of BUZUD\u2019s comprehensive health check programme. His presence underscored how local initiatives to support diabetes prevention resonate with global health priorities, while highlighting the importance of early screening and community-level healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n

Preventive Care for All<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"Participants \u2014 many aged 40 and above \u2014 took part in complimentary health checks for cardiovascular and kidney health. Each received a personalised health report to take home, providing valuable insights into their wellbeing. Pharmacists were also on site to review results and offer professional advice on preventive strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond screenings, visitors explored activity booths, interactive stations, and expert talks designed to highlight practical ways to manage health in everyday life. The lively atmosphere made healthcare approachable, empowering participants to \u201cknow their numbers\u201d and take early steps toward better health.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strengthening the Community with 60K for SG60<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"This event also echoed the values of BUZUD\u2019s <\/span>60K for SG60 <\/b>community initiative<\/span><\/a>, a programme dedicated to advancing preventive care, healthy ageing, and wellness as BUZUD\u2019s celebration of Singapore approaches its 60th year of independence. Through this initiative, BUZUD has pledged to conduct 60,000 health checks across Singapore, continuing its mission to bring healthcare closer to the people and empower Singaporeans to live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pharmacy Week 2025 brought together healthcare professionals, academic institutions, industry partners, and residents in a collective effort to strengthen community health.
